Central is currently recruiting for Waking Night Support Workers in Camden and Brent area. You will be based in a hostel service for homeless adults, and will be required to provide an effective, high quality support service to address the presenting needs of residents.
We are recruiting for candidates with previous experience of working with adults with complex support needs including those related to homelessness, mental health and substance misuse issues.
Candidates should be able to commit to a rota for a minimum period of 3 months, with a likelihood of extension based on performance.
The pay rate for these shifts is between £10.71 and £11.48 per hour plus holiday pay. Interested candidates must be available for a minimum of 3- 4 shifts per week across 7 days.
Candidates must have experience of managing challenging behaviour and person-centred support practices. You must also have experience of working with adults or young people with complex needs.
Please note that we are unable to consider candidates who are currently in full-time permanent employment for these roles.
In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Current valid right to work in the UK
* Minimum 12 months' of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)
* A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £44)
* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
