As a SHEQ Manager reporting to the Site Director, the main purpose of the SHEQ Manager role will be to oversee the Safety, Health, Environmental, Industrial Quality, Security and Regulatory requirements for multiple sites based in the North West. The SHEQ Manager will have authority regarding Health, Safety, Environment, Industrial QC, Industrial QA, ISO Certifications and Security.
Responsibilities of the SHEQ Manager;
To be the overall lead and GB expert for Safety, Security, Health and Environmental matters to ensure legislative compliance within the business - lead the SHEQ&S teams across various UK locations and influence the management teams to sustain and improve SHEQ&S standards.
To manage the functional leadership for external interactions with regulating bodies such as the HSE, EA, BSI, corporate HSE functions in order to represent the UK position for SHEQ&S reporting, meetings, reviews, audits, inspections, visits etc.
SHEQ Manager will manage all licenses and permits e.g. COMAH, EPR, F-gas, Hazardous Substance Consent, climate change levy, ESOS/ISO50001 and ISO 9001/14001/45001 to ensure that the sites can continue to operate legally. Maintain direct responsibility for site permits and licenses and delegate other locations to the relevant SHEQ&S team members whilst maintaining supervisory oversight.

To be successful in this position as SHEQ Manager, an established technical background with experience in a production or operations environment on a top-tier COMAH site would be beneficial. Some experience of directly managing SHEQ&S professionals will be key to this role.
