Senior case officer required for a Local Authority, reporting to the Senior SEN Manager.
This role will require managing the processes of EHCP assessment and review, monitoring pupils with special educational needs, and supporting the Team Manager in their provision of supervision to the SEN case officers. You will support the SEN team to ensure the local authority meet all legal requirements and complete statutory processes within the set timeframes.
For this role you need to have experience of;
Line managing at least two people.
Managing complex casework in the 0-25 age range.
Handling complaints from the families and providers.
Attending assessment panel.
Comprehensive knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice 2015.
Extensive knowledge of the assessment process for children with special educational needs.
Understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014.
Knowledge of current issues in the Education and Children's services.
Proven record of managing caseloads and meeting targets.
