Job Title: Section Engineer Highways

My Client is a principal contracting company who undertake projects in Civil Engineering, Highways and Construction. The company is currently growing year on year and has recently won significant projects relating to major infrastructure improvements in and around Essex
They have a friendly and personable team, have been trading many years and have low staff attrition.
Due to new projects my Client is now looking for multiple Section Engineer's to work across various sites in Essex
The Section Engineer will have previous experience of highways infrastructure projects and will have a strong understanding of Civil Engineering & RC Structures.
The Section Engineer will be responsible for Site activities across assigned work site.
The Section Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining standards of health and safety, quality and environmental impact.
Organise site mobilization including site set up
Ensure HSEQ pre start meetings are held
Deliver the works safely within their section
Build and maintain a good relationship with the client and all external parties.
Work to build strong relationships with the client.
Monitor progress with up to date programmes so that timely clear direction can be given to the team on critical construction/financial targets.
Development, Management and Maintenance of Site Management Plan
Projects involve self-delivery of Civil Engineering, Highways and Drainage projects
Previous experience with Roadworks, Drainage, Structures and General Highways Infrastructure.
Experience on drainage and RC Structures preferred.
Organisation skills and a methodical approach to work
Experience on self-delivery projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Strong team working skills
Excellent it skills
Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
Formal education in Civil Engineering or similar.
