Attendance Officer | Full Time | ASAP | B65
Are you an experienced business assistant or administration assistant? Do you have a desire to secure a full-time opportunity? Do you have at least 1 years' experience working in an office environment?
LTF are currently looking for an Attendance Officer to start as soon as possible. This role is a full time, 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday. The right candidate will need to have at least 1 years' experience working in an administrative / attendance role and MUST have Sim's experience.
This role includes:
To promote positive attitude by pupils and families towards education and attendance. To be responsible and contribute to continually improving whole school attendance. Being line managed by the School Business Manager and supported by SLT to monitor the daily attendance and absences of all pupils in school and to provide welfare and family support as and when required. To promote collaborative working between school and parents and encourage a positive parent partnership.
Monitoring pupils' attendance daily and reporting.
Undertaking daily truancy call alerts to parents whose children have not turned up for school.
Marking registers in SIMs.
Communications with parents by phone, letter, email, texts.
Arrange and attend parent meetings regarding concerns about attendance. Identify patterns in non-attendance and other areas of concern.
Liaise with the safeguarding team where necessary.
Complete and send in referrals to the Attendance & Prosecution Service for holiday fines or welfare support.
Manage Leave in Term Time requests.
General reception and administration work.
The successful candidate will:
Have at least 1 years' experience of working within a school office environment
Be ICT literate (with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office & Google applications
Be highly organised, efficient & accurate with excellent communication skills
Be able to manage your own workload, prioritise, plan ahead & show initiative
