My client is a distributor of electronic components and logistical services to manufacturers of electronic equipment. They support many industries including automotive, medical and security but the bulk of our activity is with the defence and harsh environment sectors. They stand as one of the largest distributors of its type with industry leading anti-counterfeit testing laboratories, with over 200 employees worldwide and estimated sales of £100m.
They are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Executive to support the company in all aspects of quality assurance.
Principal Accountabilities:
To support the business in all aspects of quality assurance - to ensure the business complies with International Standards, customer requirements and expectations in an effective and positive manner.
Part of inspection report verification team
Support the company's adherence to regulatory compliance in respect of Rohs/Reach/Conflict minerals etc
Act as company quality representative / point of contact on customer projects - Help solve day to day issues, manage supplier quality issues. Attend customer/supplier meetings.
Act as company quality representative on customer visits and audits
Act as company quality representative on supplier visits
Manage customer corrective actions
Manage supplier corrective actions
Support and carry out internal and external audits
Support maintenance of the company approved suppliers list
Ensure company quality documents are controlled and updated in line with International Standards and customer requirements
Provide appropriate internal/external training on company quality procedures and processes
Facilitate and provide input to company quality improvement activities
Support (provide cover) the company RMA/RTV process

Knowledge, Skills and Personal Attributes:
Good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other core applications.
You must hold a valid UK driving licence and be capable of regular driving activity without significant adverse effects on your health, safety or wellbeing
Knowledge of/ history of working within an ISO/AS environment
ISO/AS internal audit training
Knowledge of Electronic or Mechanical Products
Knowledge of Share point Measures of Success
Measures of Success:
Accurate report verification/product release
Customer / supplier corrective actions managed
Internal audits carried out to schedules.
Planned visits
Feedback from peers, colleagues and stakeholders
