Production Team Leader required for a rapidly growing business in Redditch!!
Managing teams of up to 7 operatives on a production line for an FMCG business that not only makes its own products, but also "own brands" for many major retailers across the UK.
They are constantly adding more automated solutions and lines to the business in order to be able to cope with the growing demand, along with the implementation of Lean processes. This role will suit someone with an understanding of Continuous Improvement / Lean Practices / Six Sigma / Operations Excellence.
Some of your main responsibilities include;
Inspection and test of packed product checking product appearance, closure torque, fill weight, seal integrity, boxing and palleting quality with completion of production paperwork, ensuring records are complete, accurate, legible and traceable to the product.
Supervising Line Operatives, ensuring they are aware of their duties and communicating any specific product
Familiarisation with the corrective action procedure, assisting in the completion of corrective actions, and in the event of product non-conformity, stopping the production line and communicating any concerns to Management.
To adhere to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) standards

This is a Temporary to Permanent role paying £11.19 per hour to start and progressing to £12.44 once trained. There is opportunity to be trained to Deputy Supervisor level soon after, which be rewarded with a further pay increase.
You will work 3 nights per week, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights (12 hour shifts);
