A tech company based in High Wycombe is seeking an experienced Operations Manager, paying £40-55,000 plus a benefits package, to join their growing, tight knit team.

The role will be heading up the company's operations, warehouse and purchasing functions, as well as managing a team of 3 people that will be growing steadily in the immediate future. You will have experience with good in and goods out, warehouse auditing and stocktaking as well as some purchasing. As there is already and existing team in place you will need demonstrable man management experience too, but there is loads of room to put your stamp on the job as the company is growing!

Due to the nature of the position, you will be expected to be in the office 5 days a week working 9-6pm.

The duties will include the following, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Day to day management of Operations and Purchasing team, carry out staff appraisals, manage performance and disciplinaries
  • Formulate strategies to improve stock inventory and monthly stock-takes
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
  • Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at departmental management meetings.
  • Conduct reviews on UK and International couriers to analyse where efficiency and costing
  • Work closely with company directors to improve operational systems, processes and best practices that guarantee employee and organisational well-being
  • Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits
  • Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements
  • Develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilisation, inventory management, and shipping
  • Manage relationships with key operations vendors and track vendor pricing, rebates, and service levels
  • Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment
  • Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service.

The ideal candidate will come from a warehouse background and have experience working with goods in and goods out, all industries all be considered, but technology would be advantageous. You will have experience with purchasing as well as stock auditing and internal stocktaking. Excellent customer service skills, you will be the main point of contact at the delivery and ordering stage, so experience being a brand ambassador as well confidence directly speaking to clients/customers. You will have managed a team and enjoy mentoring, directing and growing successful teams around you. Process driven you will have the ability to look at existing processes and see room for improvement as well as being able to follow them step by step. CRM system use on a day-to-day basis, use of HubSpot would be a plus!
