We currently are looking for an experienced Facilities Assistant for our client based in Bournemouth.

The successful applicant will work 8pm to 8am , on a 4 night on 4 night off shift pattern.

This is a PERMANANT placement - Immediate start offering a salary of up to £19,500 per annum.

Facilities Assistants help to oversee and manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the buildings within our communities. Your role as a Facilities Assistant is to provide maintenance and janitorial support to the team, essentially enabling yourself and others to drive great performance and customer service in the residence, with a focus on safety and security.

During any night time shifts, the tasks within scope change to reflect the fact that we are unable to enter resident's bedrooms. For this reason, the remit of the role shifts more heavily towards janitorial and safety-based tasks, making sure that the residence is well-presented and secure at all times.

Key Skills:

Take responsibility for ensuring that the community is exceptionally well presented at all times.
Clean all communal areas and external grounds on a regular basis- to include sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming, cleaning communal windows, glass panels and mirrors.
Ensure that the bin stores are tidy and that the bins are rotated regularly.
Ensure arrangements are in place for the removal of refuse. To make sure that refuse area is kept clean - this includes the surrounding areas (such as courtyard and car park).
Carry out periodic health and safety checks, including those relating to fire safety and risk assessments.
To ensure the community is secure 24-hours a day.
To ensure sufficient handover at the end of each shift, so that the incoming Facilities Assistant is aware of any outstanding issues.
To keep an up to date log of all events and incidents to ensure sufficient handover to colleagues.
To monitor the CCTV system, reporting any irregularities to the General Manager or external agencies.
About you:

Previous experience within a facilities, housekeeping, security or maintenance role.
Experience of working within a team.
Experience of providing outstanding customer service.
Ability to be proactive with strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels (orally and in writing).
Very organised, with ability to multi-task on a regular basis.
Self-motivated and conscientious individual
Friendly, reliable personality, presentable
Ability to think outside the box
