Mechanical Engineer
Teesside
We are working on an exclusive basis with Mammoet a global heavy engineering company who provide solutions to the heavy lifting and transport sector.
You will be responsible for developing engineering solutions and concepts for a wide variety of projects including evaluating; selecting and calculating appropriate heavy lifting and transport operations.
This role is based 75% in Teesside and 25% UK & European travel.
Salary of a Mechanical Engineer
£30,000 - £40,000
Job Description of a Mechanical Engineer
* Identify, develop and test advanced technical solutions.
* Ensure designs comply with legal standards plus company and client requirements.
* Develop and apply structural calculations to evaluate, select and test operations.
* Apply solutions that improve the integrity and function of designs.
* Liaise with internal and external customers including face to face interaction with clients on site.
* Develop solutions to support sales and tendering activities.
* Manage projects through to execution using engineering principles and techniques.
* Ensure business related decisions are in compliance with SHEQ standards and procedures.
Skills & experience of a Mechanical Engineer
* Degree or Masters in Mechanical/Civil Engineering.
* 3-5 years experience in a Heavy Engineering industry such as Oil & Gas, Subsea or Fabrication.
* 2D AutoCAD & 3D Inventor/Solidworks experience.
* Structural hand calculations and FEA experience is desirable.
* Manage client facing projects from concept to execution.
