Infrastructure Manager is required by Logic Engagements to work for our market leading financial services client based in Wimbledon, South West London (hybrid working - circa 2 to 3 days in the office)
The scope of the role will be to lead and manage a team of circa 8 infrastructure engineers who are responsible for supporting our clients network, Server, storage and cloud infrastructure.
The roles key responsibilities of the position are to:
* Management of the team of Cloud Infrastructure engineers whose primary remit is to support our clients infrastructure and cloud services.
* As the Infrastructure manager, be responsible for ensuring platforms are supported for the following services that underpin the business capabilities, Cloud Based services ( AWS , Azure, SAS, PAS, IAS )and internally managed systems with Infrastructure and Networking.
* Managing BAU support
* License Management - Understand Licensing, manage licenses
* Budget Management - Own the operational budget for the area, with knowledge of OPEX and CAPEX
* Maximize team efficiency and throughput - with special reference to technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and people management. Ensuring tickets are resolved within appropriate timelines.
* Drive focused and proactive problem management to reduce the volume of unresolved underlying problems, identifying root causes via targeted analysis.
* Create and maintain support documentation and procedures and ensure that they are adhered to.
* Provide input and support for Disaster Recovery plans. Assist in the creation of robust IT Service Continuity procedures and documentation in-line with corporate standards.
* Ensure that adequate and robust security measures are implemented, and updated, in line with corporate Security Policy.
* Produce monthly Management Reports, including capacity reporting and planning. Ensure asset and configuration information is maintained in line with standards and guidelines.
* Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment which encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication.
* Conduct the performance management process, provide input for hiring and disciplinary actions, and identify training and development needs. Promotion of team working and management of sensitive issues and information appropriately.
* Provide exceptional service to all business customers. Maintain good relationships within the team and in the wider business.
* Ensure that all software is maintenance and up to date from a patching vulnerability point of view.
In order to be successful for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience:
* Proven background working as an Infrastructure Manager
* Hands on technical experience and knowledge across a range of infrastructure technologies including Cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure, Windows Servers, Networks and Citrix.
* Previous experience in line managing teams of infrastructure engineers
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
