Role: HR Assistant
Salary: £25,000 - 27,000
Location: Shirley Solihull office based
Hours: Full time Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm with half hour lunch
We are working on behalf an award-winning business who is seeking an experienced HR Assistant to report into the HR Manager, to take ownership of employee relations and provide an effective HR service to all employees. You will have the support of a HR Administrator, but you will lead on providing advice alongside the HR Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving and growing business with opportunities to be involved in TUPE projects. This role would allow independent and stand-alone management of your own workload.
Role and responsibilities:
* As a HR Assistant, you will be responsible for taking ownership and providing advice for all employee queries
* Manage a central HR inbox and effectively respond to or redirect queries as required
* Closely monitor absenteeism levels in line with company policy
* Compile data and evidence for investigations, disciplinaries or grievances
* Support with note taking and organising meetings as required
* Assist with TUPE processes and onboarding new employees into the business
* Engage with employees regarding issues related to training, development and welfare
* Support with HR administration tasks such as preparing and cross checking HR data and documents such as medicals right to work accurately
* Assist in all aspects of HR process improvements and managing HR processes
* Any other HR related tasks as required by the business or HR Manager or HR Director
Skills and experience required:
* Proven work history working as a HR Coordinator, HR Advisor or HR Assistant is essential
* CIPD level 3 or equivalent qualifications is advantageous
* Proactive and organised nature
* Ability to work with limited supervision
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Confident in handling confidential and sensitive data in a compliant manner and adhering to GDPR regulations
