This is a new position it's a role that will build the model and define the strategy that will then drive the build and ongoing expansion for a full fibre network build programme in the North.
The programme will mainly be via PIA, so the HOD will put plans in place to ensure compliance with Openreach Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) requirements and you'll be point of contact for 3rd party liaison and communications with design and build partners.
Management wise, you'll sit above deployment build managers, Supervisors, and alongside designers and field engineering.
You'll be a known name in the industry and FTTP network construction background would be essential.
This is a great chance to be in the business from the early days. and play your part in what growth of the network looks like. You'll continue to build the team that supports the delivery of the build plans and reporting to the delivery director, you'll be responsible for the performance and methods of the build and FTTP connection teams and all associated partners in Northern UK.
Your background?
The reality is you need to be from that senior level telecoms network build environment and that also means FTTP with in depth knowledge of PIA and ideally, the NEC form of contract.
Good understanding of Design, Civils and Fibre specifications and industry standards including NRSWA, HAUC, OFCOM etc.
Role covers the North and HQ is Warrington, so you need to be on patch and commute into HQ maybe twice per week
