Our client is a world class supplier of high pressure components for the Oil & Gas sector who are looking for an External Sales Engineer to join their UK team. The Sales Engineer can be based anywhere in the UK and will be responsible for creating new prospects and maintaining new customer accounts either domestic or international.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an External Sales Engineer who is already familiar with the O&G Industry to maximise on their knowledge and assist a growing business expand their customer base. This role will require personal visits to ensure the development of strong customer relations therefore will involve extensive global travel and can be done on a remote basis when in the UK.
Main responsibilities will include:
* Create new prospects and maintain new customer accounts either domestic and international.
* Contract negotiation.
* Respond to all customer enquiries and needs directly related to managed accounts.
* Proposal and quotation preparation.
* Establishing strong relationships in order to become a valued technical sales resource to the customer.
* Manage the preparation of customer focused technical and commercial quotations, feasibility reports and other documentation
* Undertake research and provide market, competitor and regulatory feedback to the Directors.
* Develop potentially new areas of business through active market research for the desired product line.
* Develop potential agency agreements with selected companies to become the exclusive sales outlet in global regions.

* The successful candidate will have a detailed level of engineering knowledge and experience with high-pressure components.
* Be familiar with API 6A standardisations
* Be familiar with the onshore/offshore oil and gas industry in particular in Europe, Middle East and Soviet regions.
* In-depth understanding of the sales process as applied to high value engineering projects.
* Have strong project management / negotiation skills.
