If so, then our client has the job for you. This business is a global leader in the design & development of Industrial Power products. They are currently recruiting for an Electronics Design Engineer to join their expanding R&D Electronics team.
The ideal Electronics Design Engineer will have:
-Design, develop and test DC/DC and AC/DC converters, working closely with Business Development to exceed the expectations of the customers.
-Design analysis (Circuit Simulation, Component Stress Analysis, MTBF, etc)
-Conducting Design Verification Testing (DVT) & Qualification testing of development power supplies for electrical, EMC, mechanical and environmental performance.
-Work closely with our Production and Test Engineering teams to ensure that products are suitable for mass production.
To apply for this Electronics Design Engineer - SMPS job you will need a combination of the following:
-Formal qualification equivalent to UK degree level in electronics or related discipline, candidates with equivalent experience may be considered.
-experience in electronics design, preferably power conversion, or analogue electronics.
-An ability to work on projects with tough product cost targets.
-Experience of simulation software used in electronics design.
-Hands on experience of laboratory-based functions such as product testing and soldering.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to form logical solutions to problems.
