Competitive salary of up to £45,700 + Bonus
We are looking for experienced Electrical Technicians to join one of the larges port logistics companies in the UK. The role of the electrical technician will be to perform both reactive and preventative maintenance on all heavy plant and mobile equipment at a busy deep seaport.
Please note that this is a shift-based role including days and nights. Please only apply if suitable.
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:
Carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance on all static and mobile plant equipment in order to reduce downtime.
Trouble shooting and fault finding on electrical and control circuits.
Overseeing and coordinate any contractors on site during commissioning and delivery of equipment.
Always adhere to the company's safe industry practices.
Work closely with store and asset managers to maintain stock levels.
Provide assistance in improving and updating method statements and risk assessments on site.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Minimum of a NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical maintenance
Full UK driving Licence
Previous experience working in heavy industrial sites i.e., Docks, Ports, Harbours, WAFS
Experience programming with PLC's would be beneficial
Excellent fault finding and troubleshooting experience motors, inverters & frequency controllers.
Previous experience maintaining mobile equipment i.e., cranes, forklifts,
