The role of Demand Planning Manager / Forecasting Manager is to lead all aspects of Demand Planning activities within EU. The Demand planning manager will drive business improvement activities to improve customer service, through improved collaborative working practices and improve the function of Demand planning for the business.
Key responsibilities for the position of Demand Planning Manager / Forecasting Manager -
Responsible for internal forecasting tools (INFOR and SAP) to monitor, analyse and generate accurate short/mid/long term forecasts to enable sufficient stock levels to meet the customers demand, whilst maximizing ocean freight and enabling better capacity planning within our plants.
Responsible for Infor and SAP data management.
Drive Customer Collaboration programs to drive improved service and forecast activity management Face to face meeting when appropriate to ensure excellent customer relationships (EU Travel maybe necessary, adhoc)
Lead and follow up actions of the Global Forecasting Management System
Hands on role which will include Analyse and submit forecast data for all build phases (prototype and mass production for direct and distribution channels).
Responsible to provide insight and analysis to key stakeholders through monitoring and identifying trends, risks, ensure slow moving stock and end of life trends are integrated into the forecasting to factories and changes are highlighted to all relevant stakeholders.
Lead the phase in/phase out (PIPO) process to minimise obsolescence.
Responsible for ensuring stock liabilities are tracked, highlighted, followed through and resolved.
Own the process of extracting consistent and accurate data, which will subsequently be used to drive business decisions. (capacity planning)
Highlight any shortage, capacity constraints possibilities
Work closely with colleagues within the Supply Chain Team, other departments (ie: Program managers).
Adherence to the IATF standards
Accountable for delivering reports to management.
Continually review forecasts and schedules to promote performance improvements and cost efficiencies
Train and coach Demand Planning Team.
Being an integral part of the company personal development program.
Regular performance reviews with the team.
Set key performance indicators and review them on a regular basis
