Our client, a growing retail business, is looking for a customer service professional to join their team to provide efficient answering of phones and appropriate direction of enquiries.

Role Overview

To assist in providing excellent customer service through efficient answering of phone and appropriate direction of enquiries.


  1. Being the first point of contact, efficiently answer all telephone calls to the store by responding positively to customer enquiries and direct them to the appropriate department
  2. Respond positively to and resolve customer complaints
  3. Undertake diary management to ensure customers receive advice about when they can provide them with an appointment closest to their requested time and date
  4. Ensure customers receive a positive and friendly approach to excite them about their planned visit and that they are advised of the current promotions and any relevant product information
  5. Ability to develop knowledge of company products and procedures
  6. Chase up missed appointments for customers
  7. Liaise with other departments to facilitate seamless customer management
  8. Ensure customer details are requested in an empathic manner and are advised when their order is ready or delayed
  9. Carry out all administration duties relating to the Call Centre
  10. Ensure customers receive a reminder call/text and have their calls answered in a prompt, clear and friendly manner with their needs satisfied

Key Skills

  • To build rapport and have the ability to adapt and respond to a number of varying queries from customers and colleagues
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Comfortable to take volume calls
  • Competent to update computer systems
  • Flexible attitude and efficient manner

40 hrs/week worked on a rota basis over 7 days including occasional weekend working - would also consider part time working for the right candidate
