The Advocate Group is representing a major player and market-leader in the global spirits industry. We are currently leading the search for a BI Analyst that will play a key role in driving regional strategy and achieving business objectives.
This is a highly innovative business that is putting increasing focus on Insight for the development of the business and brand strategy. As a result, they have recently created a new Business Intelligence function to drive growth ambitions across core European markets.
The BI Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with local market stakeholders to pull together the regional monthly reporting suite, lead the development of the insights library, and be responsible for sharing best practice research techniques and information with local markets.
Collaborate and work with key stakeholders (Business Intelligence Manager, regional and global insight teams and regional finance team) to ensure efficient delivery and regular reviews of the markets and brand performance
Conduct rigorous analysis of strategic issues and align with key stakeholders to pull together recommendations that are cascaded throughout the region and local market teams
Support local insight teams on the application of global strategy and insight sharing. Sharing local best practices to foster a coordinated approach to comparable startegic issues
Ownership of the Insight Library - collaborating with local market insight teams to produce a regional insight library that pulls together all key consumer, shopper and insight projects to allow best-in-class collaboration and encourages cross-market learning
Deliver rapid, accurate and insightful responses to requests from senior management across consumer, shopper and market queries
Bring commercial, relevant and strategic recommendations for brand growth across the region, integrating learnings from multiple data sources, including data and research partners and collaboration with global teams
Support the Business Intelligence Manager with key strategic planning deliverables, such as:
Market & Category Forecasting
A minimum of 3-5 years experience, with a background in a research/analytical insight role (consumer, shopper and market insight)
Excellent ability to communicate and influence across multiple levels, with a wide variety of stakeholders from senior management to local insight teams
Strong listening, presentation and storytelling skills; gravitas to put research into business terms and influence colleagues and key stakeholders with the insights provided
Strong data and analytical skills with the ability to fuel insight delivery
Passion, conviction, collaboration and the ability to handle multiple priorities
The ability to work in cross functional teams on both small & large scale projects, across multiple regions to deliver extraordinary results
Excellent planning and project management skills
Personal resilience and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Business Problem Solving: Identify, define and answer the right questions to resolve business problems/identify opportunities - effectively and efficiently
Advanced MS PowerPoint, Excel, Access and experience of using VBA within these packages where applicable
Proficiency and knowledge of Nielsen Answers, Kantar and other market data systems would be benefical, but isn't a prerequisite
Demonstrable insights experience and a strong track record working in FMCG branded products in consumer and shopper insight
